WOW!! Chapter 1 hit me squarley in my core. That is a wake up call of wake up calls. Thank you for sharing the HUGE Risk you took. It gives me confidence that if you did what you did, I can conquer the smaller challanges I’m allowing to get in my way. I also LOVE the concept of rating aspects of my life. It’s a great way to see where I am off and now I can do something about them!

    Thank you!!

  • Carol Hinson

Ok now I want more of the book! The happy scale and getting one from feeling bad to good will help one to release the fear and believie in one’s self. Thanks for sharing and I know this will be so helpful to so many people!

  • Lorna

Fantastic! Rich walks his talk in every way. His very life is an inspiration to me to create a lifestyle, not a workstyle. I love the down-to-earth approach that basically says, “I can do it and so can you!” The book will be a daily guide for me.

  • Great job, Rich! Your life inspires me in so many ways. I’ve read LOTS of personal development books over the years, but this book is different. Rich draws on his success over the years working with all kinds of people navigating all kinds of life changes to master a ‘whole self’ approach to creating the life you want that seems to make success almost inevitable! Highly recommend this book as a resource to turn to if you are serious about living your ideal life NOW! Thank you Rich!

  • Rich, thanks for sharing your story with us. This books seems to be the perfect distillation of your life’s work up til now. Really looking forward to reading the entire thing!

  • Michelle Stewart

Rich, Thanks for sharing the beginning of your book and I look forward to the remainder of it! I have also been successful in the corporate world as well as had a life that “seemed” great but I had the deep desire to not settle for a life that is less than my potential for TRUE success and happiness. I “took the leap” before knowing you but am so grateful that your coaching, teleseminars and book will provide a clear roadmap and help me get to the place I want to be much faster than on my own! The support and belief you have in others is incredible. Thanks again!

  • Thank you thank you thank you, Rich! I absolutely love chapter 1 and am sharing it with everyone I know. I can’t wait for the rest of the book! I’m sure it will be a constant companion, highlighted, dog eared, notes in the margin, the works. Bring it on!

  • Sandy Gansberg

    Hi Rich,
I love the 1st Chapter. It seemed like you were reading it to me. My husband and I are lucky enough to be coaching clients of yours. In the last 18 months since we have been working together our business has more than doubled. We have totally changed our focus. It has become more of a lifestyle rather than a workstyle.
Everyone will be able to take away some words of wisdom and incorporate them into their life like I did.
Thanks and Wishing you great success,
    Sandy

  • Nichole

Loved it! Love the way you put your words together around lifestyle vs. work style. What I love even more is that you are actually living what you are teaching in everything you do. What a pleasure to gain wisdom from you. I am really looking forward to having a copy of the whole book in my hand’s soon!

  • Rich German’s business training has allowed me to truly Monetize my Passion, find and work with only my ideal clients, and get beyond just financial security to financial independence. This provides me with not only financial freedom, but overall freedom with more choices that will allow me to have a better life for me and my family.
Rich German will Rock your World, Energize your Business, and Energize your Life !

  • Alex Semchuck

    Awesome thanks!

  • Cowboy

    I hate contests, but I’d like a copy please…

  • well written blog. Im glad that I could find more info on this. thanks!

  • Natalie C

This first chapter is truly inspirational! I can relate a lot to your story since I have changed career myself a few years ago. Although, I love what I am doing, I am still “working” instead of “living”. What I love most about the first chapter is the distinction between workstyle and lifestyle. What a powerful concept! I can’t wait to read the rest of the book.

  • Stu Ogle

LOVE the new book cover, very sleek. Nice job Rich.

  • Neha

I am writing this after having read only the first 7 pages of the first chapter of your book.. and i just had to write right now before proceeding.. I had tears welled up as i relate completely to what you say in the first few pages.. ”i need to break free but i am scared. Scared because of lack of self belief and a support system. But God how i need to get out of my present situation.” And you are right, my fear of whether i will be able to make it, keeps me clinging on. “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.”
    —Henry David Thoreau
I don’t want to be one of this mass.
You sound good, sincere in your intentions. But honestly i don’t know how and if you will be able to help me live my dream..
I don’t want to merely exist anymore.
    I want to live.
    Suggestions..??

  • Neha

Forgot to add: i’ll get back to completing the first chapter :)

  • I find your articles very uplifting and inspiring. I dwell upon each message you send and apply your wisdom to my own daily live here on planet earth. Thanks for increasing my awareness.

  • Rich, you are heading in a great direction with the intro and first chapter in your book! I look forward to reading the rest of it when I win the free copy.

It is remarkable how many teachers and mentors and coaches and regular folks who are none of the above who are now heading down the same path!

My wife’s new book, Choosing Easy World, is one you supported last week, and it, too, takes the position that only joy defines the fulfilled life. Love is the fuel, joy is the sensation.

Thanks for letting me get a glimpse!

  • Lena

Hi Rich. The first chapter was easy, funny and interesting to read. I would really want to read the entire book. Because the whole concept of the book connects to where I am in my life, my dreams. Lena

  • Hello Richard,
Thanks for Chapter I of your forthcoming book.
I quit my job in 2001 to get the great feeling of ‘liberation’ as you put it. And now I enjoy every moment of my life.
The exercises in the Chapter are eye-openers But, without a personal coach, however much we try to follow the book, chances are, we may go back to our original, passionless life.
I wish you God speed in bringing out the book
    Love and Light,

    Dear Rich German,

I was so happy to know that you have written a book. I have been getting your energizing e-mails for quite some time now, and i have always loved and been grateful about them.
And yes…I read the chapter one and is as insightful as i thought it would be.
Thank you for being my coach…i appreciate it very much.
    Wish you happiness and passion…:-)

  • LOVE This Book, Rich! Scary stuff facing all you have challenged readers with … important and scary ;~D

A few years back I was in a toxic work environment and FAXED my resignation in because I couldn’t go in the building again! It happens to people every day, one moment wakes us to the reality that life is short and it CAN be gloriously happy!!!

Would love to win a copy of your book from you, but no matter what, will be getting several copies on release for myself and special people in my life!

    Thank you!

  • barney

    Rich,

This was very good and your writing style reminds me of me. I liked the two tests at the end and I enjoyed the comments on how we seem to be married to technology today. I think this would be a wonderful book to read because at my core I would like to make a difference before my time is over. I want to see Multiple Sclerosis cured before I die. I want to speak to groups of 5,000 people. I want to see the middle class in America rise up and become the force they were when I was growing up.
Thanks for sharing this first chapter.

  • Angela

oh. I have been sorta following your stuff on and off for a while, but the first lines hit home with a vengeance. I’ve been feeling like my decline in health and anyhow fragile happiness is in this time particulary linked to my job, and am convinced my health concerns would improve if I changed. but, there is the monster called ‘fear’, esp after 15yrs in the same job, alone in this country and getting older. yet, maybe this exactly proves to be platform to make changes, and at times I feel I have wasted too much time just flatlining. the question is just – what exactly is my passion? and can I pay for the roof over my head while finding out and making it work for me? I trust my courage keeps building up to go for it and jump!

  • Rob

Rich..Great first chapter,,,you are to be commended for putting down on paper what many of us are thinking…it is always great to hear how others have overcome adversity…it gives us all hope…Thanks

  • Carol

Great insight a lot of teaching that I am getting already by a fantastic business system but this is helping me to look at the big picture. All the bits of the puzzle must be in alignment for us to move forward thank you from western Australia

  • SOG

    Will do ;-0

  • Bottle Opener

Where will the book be available, Barnes and Nobvle?

  • Ray G

I just got the chapter and will be reading it soon.
    Thanks.

  • I really enjoyed your first ch. I really look forward to your daily energizer blog. Keep up the great work.

  • Carol

I am so excited about your book, Rich! Your story is amazing, and I can tell from the 1st chapter that you’ll be taking us through a process that will be really helpful. I’m especially excited that the book is not just about fulfilling our purposes or just building a business, but a combination of both. Just what I need!!

  • Bonnie G

Rich – tears came to my eyes as I read your intro, and in trying to figure out why, I think that I’m looking for my “passion” and how to monetize it toward financial security/freedom. I am on board that your body speaks volumes, and so do the “voices.” My hubby has a saying that is his ‘mantra’: “Time is the only coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful, lest you let other people spend it for you” -Carl Sandberg, poet emeritus (1878-1967). Your expertise certainly leads to the end — spending your coin wisely!! Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Candace

I know the rest of this book will continue to make me think. I’m 58 with chronic illnesses that forced me to stop working in the areas of my passion. Then I started investing most of my money which did not work out the way I thought it would(lost instead of made money). Now I must work but I do so at home so I can adapt it to how I’m feeling that day. I know that doors are going to open and I will be able to redefine my passion, feel great each day and just enjoy the day. Your book like all of you past webinars and resources will help me do what I knows I should do.
Thank you for your help and support.

  • Hey Rich! Good Job! Things we need to remember – in fact the book could be named, “Memorize this and Monetize your Passion!”

  • I’M LIVING IT! Hi Rich, we spoke on the phone in March of this year (Indiana) and my story is in your book, Living the Law of Attraction Real People ….. I can completely relate to the first 14 pages of your book. I’M LIVING IT! I recently quit a 24 yr career in the IT field because I just couldn’t do it anymore. Turning 50 this year, I wanted to start living the life I choose, not one dominated by my 24/7 job. It’s been exciting and scary all at the same time. Faced with an obesity crisis in our country today, I wanted to share what I’ve learned about successfully losing weight and keepiing it off the last 23 yrs. So, I started my own company in May, Inspired Living and Wellness, Inc., to coach others to live happier, healthier lives. While the passion is there, the money is not yet. I don’t want to give up, but finances may force me back into IT to pay the bills! I could really use your book, advise and direction right now!! Thanks for all your help and inspiration.

  • John Clawson

That’s your home – it looks so different!

  • ann

Thank you for the free chapter 1, its a real life experience
when one read about it can learn that no matter how old there is hope for change and achieve ones goal in life.

  • Sharon

As someone who has taken some time off “working” to rest, reflect and reconnect, I really appreciated the focus on lifestyle vs work life. Thank you for the enthusiastic redirection! I look forward to the rest of the book.

  • WOW – thanks everybody! It was great to wake up this morning and see such awesome feedback on the book. Keep the comments coming and thanks again!!!!

  • Joan

Rich…you gave me an Ah-Ha moment. I used to own a business which was invigorating, but the subject matter was really my “ex’s” field. I’ve now gone back to my passion with a new masters degree. Your book will give me the roadmap to be a success in my new field and enjoy a fulfilling, balanced life!!

  • Clawdaddy

ewww unlucky Friday the 13th. Well, you never know, maybe it will be a luck Friday :-)

  • Rich,
Very inspirational chapter. We tend to take life to seriously, and trully we have to get back to our original self by being happy with what is, because we created it! This to me is a deeper form of self love and empowerment that can transform the way we look at life. As we transcend from the manufacturing to the info age, I see this book as being a roadmap to change our beliefs and put new pathways into inspired action.
Thank you for you continued support!

Okay … I read the first chapter and now I waant to read the rest of the book. Until a year ago, I was happy and felt incredibly fortunate. Then I lost my job of 27 years and have not been able to find a new one. I have never before experienced this level of sadness. The message of your book is someting that I desparately need at this point in my life.

  • Deborah

Love your writing style, love the message, and love your delivery of the message; gentle yet straight forward. Your approach is holistic, and simplistic which is refreshing, and in my opinion this will set your book apart from the thousands of other “self help/you can do it” books out there. As a person who just left a high paying job in an uncertain economy (with everyone saying what @#!*are you doing…?!!) this books arrives with perfect timing and serves as a confirmation of what I know to be true in my heart.

  • Arakel

Chapter 1 of your new book Monetize Your Passion really sets up the reader to make some profound life changes. The life fulfullment reality check is a critical step in making the changes. It was both inspiring (showed me what areas of my life are great) and motivating (where I want to improve). Thanks!

  • Ernestine Godfrey

Rich, that was awesome. Your book really made me think about what I want to do in my life. It helped me to see where I am in life and where I am going. After reading the first chapter, I had lots of mixed emotions. Some of fear and excitement. I know I’m called to do something great and I know what it is but I’m still working on the how. I know I’m called to teach people about finances but I’m still in the learning stage myself. Keep up the good work because lots of people like me need your help to get to the next level in our life.

  • You were awesome with @mombizcoach today!

  • Wanting to turn my passion into a succesful business has always been a dream of mine and now it can come true with the help of awesome people like you, thanks for the opportunity to get your book! You have a big heart!

  • Thank you Rich for your insight. This is such a timely message that I find myself focusing on right now. Many of my visitors are struggling with this issue and being afraid to take a chance and believe in themselves as they discover their life purposes and embark on a more fulfilling life.

  • read your chapter and wow, you give me the inner strength to get this idea of mine going and quit giving excuses!!! Thank you!

  • Sally E

Love the introduction and the first chapter! I can totally relate to being in a “stuck” position in a job. In fact I made the decision to get out of that situation 2 months ago. Now I just need to determine what to do next! My issue is FINDING the passionate thing I want to pursue! It sounds like people just know……. what if you don’t? Hmm. That’s my first priority!

  • Great job on the interview with MomBizCoach today! Can’t wait to read your book!

  • Thank you for the introduction and first chapter of your book, I will definitely purchase the finished product. Parts of your story really resonated with mine, there are a number of similarities. I have only recently begun stepping into living with purpose and doing what truly makes me happy but there is great fear. I am afraid of not being good enough, of not having “what it takes” and of failure. I want to step into this business full-time but need to know the best ways to do this. I love the exercises you have, they are simple and easy but very effective. I will learn much from you, thank you so much.

  • lucy

Rich-As usual you don’t pull any punches but do so in a loving way. I miss being coached by you, hopefully you’ll schedule something in the future I can attend. Until then, your book will have to do.

  • Renee

Thanks for mentioning the fact that truly happy people have a deeper, more meaningful connection to their spirit.
(Applauding your bravery in mentioning this fact)
This truly covers The whole person.

    *Renee*

  • Tony

    Rich,
Loved chapter one, what an eye opener, can’t wait to get the book. Keep rockin it.
    Tony

  • Sande

Beautiful…so what the heck…why not live at a nine!

  • LOVING these comments!! Keep ‘em coming. NOW is the time to work your passion…and create the lifestyle of your dreams. If not YOU, then who?

  • Rich, I am rady to take the leap! Why? Becasue I am in a positin to spread your good news to hundreds of people who are seeking and searching their life call and mission. People who do not wish to be on auto-pilot or cruse control but right in the action of life on planet earth!! Thee kinds of people energize me and I can feel their vibes at a distance!!
You are one of them and you make a difference. I can’t wait to read you book when it comes out in September. I hope one o the 5 will be in my mailbox come September!!

May your energy and light continue to make a difference!
We need more like you to spread the good news of how to live life with VITALAITY AND VIBRANCE !!

  • Dee Zazanis

Rich, appreciated reading your 1st chapter and just want to say how encouraged I feel as I’ve read all the replies thus far. I am 80 years young and as I read the various comments, and your commitment, Rich, to helping people live their “lifestyle”, I find comfort in believing that my two grandsons, ages 11 and 15, will find many mentors as examples of how to live their life with passion, like those who’ve previously commented, who seem to be deciding – or at least want to know how – to live their lifestyle instead of workstyle. Bravo. I still have a goal to write a book for children on “feelings”, helping children see that the feelings aren’t bad, it’s the behavior that sometimes is not acceptable – not the feelings!. So, when I write that book, a new generation may grow up feeling confident because they can be accepting of their feelings and then can make choices based on how they want to be different and who they are and what their passions are. Some people believe because they are afraid, they cannot do – and when they begin to affirm the positives, even though the negatives are still there, they ultimately begin to move in the direction of what they are affirming. Sorry, meant to only write a sentence or two, but just want to affirm you and all those who have replied. Go for it! Feel my support even through this medium. The world will be in good hands as more and more live their lifestyle instead of workstyle Go for it! And, I, too, can’t wait to read the rest of your book.

  • Dee, I can feel your energy. If you haven’t yet started your book, please do so!

  • I second that Dee!! So many great comments on here…still reading them all…

  • ok

  • Julie P

    Hi Rich,

Loved the first chapter of your book. It makes me realize that I need to stop feeling frustrated because I am unhappy and start taking action to transform my life.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of the book.

  • Donna

Always enjoy your information and insight. Thanks for the download. The 13th has been lucky for me. I’ll be awaiting notification on Fri.!

  • don

Overall,I am so so with it. I look at it as another GAP analysis but would take the opportunity to thank you for the first chapter.

    Best regards

    donridzuan

  • Thank you for your generosity in sharing this with us! Rich, ever since I first heard you in an interview with Christy Whitman back in 2008, I’ve followed all your work and have been so inspired by you. You walk your talk! You’re fun! You’re funny! I can’t wait to read the rest of this book because I know it will not only be chock-full of information … it will be easy and enjoyable to read. Wheee!

  • Rich – I’ve had the pleasure of following you for some time now; you have blessed me and continue to bless me with your work. This first chapter that I printed – is already underlined and highlighted! Can you imagine what I’ll do with the full book – I can’t wait! The encouragement, clarity and guidance I’ve received from you IS changing my life. I look forward to the full book and digging in even deeper. I thank you for YOU!

    Blessings and Peace,
    Jan

  • What an inspiring 1st chapter Rich! I look forward with great anticipation to reading “Monetize Your Passion” in it’s entirety.
Wow, I can honestly say that I need this book and am very excited about what I will learn to live my life with more passion. I have much work to do, but you’ve really given me hope that I, too, can find fulfillment and create a ‘lifestyle’ full of passion – whatever that may be for me. I’m sure it’s very obvious to you that I am ’searching’ at this time in my life, and I believe I was meant to discover you and your works. Thank you for the opportunity and for sharing Rich!

  • Shannon

I’ll admit, reading this felt like rubbing it in my face a bit, only because I’ve been feeling unfulfilled for so long. It’s hard to maintain health and energy and passion when other areas continue to disappoint. BUT, I recently cleared a path. I let go of the people I chose to associate with who didn’t believe in themselves and therefor couldn’t ever truly believe in me. I chose to listen and make different choices both personally and professionally, and things are improving greatly with small but consistent efforts. I’m on the path, so let’s just keep going! I love my work but don’t always love how it’s going or how I’m doing at it. I love my friends, but want to spend more time with them traveling, enjoying concerts, museums, art classes… I let go of a 10-yr relationship that never served me, so while I’m hopeful and relieved- I’m also ready for love… now. I’m curious about what you might have to say that hasn’t been said, that isn’t about a website business without content, that isn’t only about coaching and seminars and web presence. I’m hoping you’ll talk about content, about taking my type of business and growing it with integrity and joy…. I’m intrigued, Rich… I’m really intrigued…

  • Rita

Bang on! This resonated on the exact level I needed to kick start my act into gear. I am feeling frustrated and “stuck” in a job that offers exc. salary and security, but feel I’m not where I truly need to be.
I have come to the conclusion I need to leave my current job and venture into uncharted waters by starting my own business and allowing myself to dream the ultimate dream of doing what I have a passion for, and customizing it to a unique and individual level. That is what makes me feel alive, is to create what I inherently know and have a passion for. Thank you!

  • Stephen

    Rich
I read the introduction and read it again and wondered “How the hell did he get to be everywhere in my life?” Now considering we are about the same age, i am basically stunned at how you have summed up my life. Let me go read this again.

  • Thank you for sharing, it’s always awesome to read about someone who is positive and finally Got It as I call it:) Just getting there myself! And life is GR8T. Thanks again for sharing.

  • Dimitri

Talk about synchronicity. I am 45 years old, and have hated every single minute of my school & work life. (every minute) I have just begun a last ditched effort to work for myself, doing what I enjoy on my internet based business. All the reminders I can get will keep me foused in the right direction. Good luck with your book, it looks like a winner! :)

  • Sharon Morgan

Love the first chapter and want to read the book so I hope I win a copy. Thanks.

  • Migen L. Osorio

    Dear Rich German,
I am a Filipino. Filipinos mostly think in terms of smallness. To GO BIG scares us. We tend to look at the dismal side of life no matter how well-placed we may be.
Going through Chapter One of your book, “Monetize Your Passion” is an eye-opener. I need to look at the upper end of the scale instead of downturns. I have tried positive thinking as espoused by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. I have read Napoleon Hill”s book, “Think and Grow Rich.” Both Dr. Peale and Hill’s views have helped me do away with limiting beliefs. I have applied their principles to many areas of my life. And I have met with a few successes.
I have become what I dreamed of using the principle of Peale’s to prayerize, visualize and actualize.
Hill’s statement that “What man can conceive and believe he can achieve” has helped me actualize what I feel is my life’s purpose and that is to write, write not just anything, but write something which can be benefical to my readers in terms of insights and self-knowledge.
So I turned out to be a writer. But I did not want to just write. I also wanted to be a painter and a psychologist. I ultimately became all three. It has been a long struggle to be what I believe I am meant to be.
In the process, I am where I am now because of the many inspirational books I keep on reading and re-reading. I feel that your book will be one of the inspirational books I will want to read and re-read.
Thank you for sharing the Introduction of your book and its first chapter.
May God bless you so. Cheers!
    Very truly yours,

    (Miss) MIGEN L. OSORIO

  • Joanne

Interesting reaction I had. I have been feeling great with my life and how far I’ve come this past year. Reading the first chart made me feel physically ill and I had to put the computer aside and felt I needed something healthy so had a hemp smoothie….I have been doing amazing with my life this past year but reading this chapter made me realize I have a long way to go.. .I was very surprised when I began crying by the end of the section on scoring which is a wake up call for me to keep moving I guess..I know life should be much better and I have been working on ‘getting’ there but i’m not really sure about these reactions I had…I’ll need the book to keep figuring it out…..Thanks for sharing your knowledge

  • Gramma

Great read!! Now I am ready for the whole book. 1 chapter at a time with time to reread in between is a great idea too. Sinks in better and “get” the parts missed the first time. Thanks

  • Christine (Madrid, Spain)

Rich, I am a great fan of your Daily Energise messages, videos, etc., so it was great to read the first chapter of your book. I will be 60 soon, but only discovered this world of life transformation very recently. There is so much available on the Internet (from Bob Proctor to Chris Cade, via Rich German!), it is all quite amazing.
I specially identified with the following from your new book:
“Our work here is to move beyond your excuses—your old stories that have kept you cemented into a life of toleration—and into a life that most would not believe possible. It’s never too soon or too late for you. I coach people who are in their early twenties up to their late seventies who are living and monetizing their passion.
I share my story as an example of what is possible. But this book is not about me. It’s all about you and what you want. I took my leap … and the net appeared. Are you ready to take your leap?” Are you ready to catch me?!!
Keep up the good work, it is a pleasure to read your words and listen to your audios and videos.

  • Very inspirational that 1st chapter, can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the book. Great job!

  • Hey Rich,

Loved chapter one and can’t wait for the rest to follow! I’m sure so many people can relate to your story, and unfortunately very few are willing to make the change! Staying in a situation because we fear change (or sometimes success) even though we know in our heart that there is a different purpose for us in life is an everyday struggle! I love how you touched on going into the “unknown abyss”. Making the change without a back up plan and KNOWING that everything will be okay as long as you follow your passion!

One part of your story really hit home for me! You mentioned that “your life is all about balance, earning as much as possible in as little time as possible so I have time to take care of myself (mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally) and focus on the most important relationships in my life”. This is my current struggle and I felt you were talking to me. I love what I do yet have absolutely no balance in my life. I put 90% of my energy in my career and helping my clients acheive their goals, and the remaining 10% goes to all the remaining areas of my life which obvioulsy isn’t working for me in creating overall happiness!

    Thanks Rich!

  • thanks again all for these heartfelt comments…can’t wait to watch and support you in creating the win-win-win discussed in the book… and in creating an amazing, balanced lifestyle…. keep the comments coming!

  • Elpida

I loved the 1st chapter and I can’t wait for the rest. I was very surprised that the present only rank a 56! I desire 90 or more!

  • Mary

I truly enjoyed reading your first chapter. It is amazing to read something that reaches and goes deep within ones self. I like how you have laid out the self evaluation tests with explanation afterwards and giving the reader hope, encouragement and direction of what comes next.
    The wording is awesome!!

  • Shawn Miller

I just read the first chapter and it’s a great book so far. I ranked a 52 so I have some work ahead of me. Looking forward to buying your book and changing my score to a 90 or more. I love what your doing and keep up the good work!

Hi Rich~wished I would have read the first part of your book before I sent the private mail to your facebook…that being said..This is what popped into my mind as I began reading, “If I would choose to ‘end the toleration’ from my two kids, maybe I would invest in ME, then they would see ME living MY life and not trying to live their’s, and I could do it at the highest level possible..” then, and only then, would I even begin to think I could be a good roll-model to/for them, or MYSELF for that matter. Great reality check, it hit me in my core, which is where I needed it most, along with my heart. Best wishes, you deserve them all,

    Hey Rich,
I did well on your test and throughly enjoyed reading about your life. I know my passion and I am ready to take it further. I am also ready to read more. Well done. I have enjoyed your daily meditations for World Peace. A friend of mine who I met at the Kripalu Institute ( I am a yoga instructor and Reiki Master) introduced me to you. I am so glad she did. Best of luck with your book.

    Namaste,
    Karen

  • Rich
well done ~ thanks for sharing your own personal story so clearly ~

I’ve already enjoyed the benefit of your one on one coaching and knowing that you share such support and genuiene interest in your clients success is encouraging.

I’m personally on my path to monetize my passion and reading your first chapter was a gentle reminder of when I feel as though I’m not gaining enough movement forward quickly enough to know that the most important thing is that I’m living what “I” want to do and it doesn’t matter what other people think or say.

As long as I believe in myself and my purpose that truly is all that matters

looking forward to the rest of the book and the impact you’ll undoubtedly have in helping people realize and follow their passions so they’re living their own lifestyle and not continue unhappily stuck in a workstyle

  • Rich,
The first chapter of your book was really well written and I look forward to reading the rest. I’d like to know what the next step is when you know what you’re passionate about doing, but reality is you can’t walk away from the workstyle because the lack of income would totally dismantle my families lives.

Easy to read and leaves me wanting more….

  • I was VERY impressed with what I read in the sample chapter. Definitely made me want to keep reading! I love your style of writing and your content is awesome! I’m hooked! :)

  • Brett Cassort

This is a great read so far and makes you look at yourself honestly. let’s face it if you dont take an honest look in the mirror to find out what’s wrong then your not doing yourself any favors. Whether you like it or not the answer is right there looking back at you. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs, but it’s always been my way to battle through. Even though I’ve battled through I never knew where I was going to come out or for that matter never knew what I had the ability to come out to for a result. I’m starting to find that out and I like what I see. I hate the Rat Race and living with no passion because I let a J O B control my time and my life. I’m passionate about helping people avoid everything I’ve gone through. Hopefully this is the start of that journey!

  • Great! Been there, done that, just like you did….several different hats, but worn in a similar fashion. And —- now what? I love what I do for a living, but crave more time with my family and my love of art. Time for change. It’s figuring out how to transition….

  • Melissa Stander

I liked the 1st chapter & thought that the exercises were straight forward & effective. I could really benefit from reading the whole book, I’m sure! I am a therapist & feel like I know how to help myself & others, but at the same time, I’m really stuck after giving up my career for Mommyhood for over 2 years. I could use a practical & supportive guide to help me jump start my life again & find fulfillment within myself.

  • Ann-Christine

Thank you for kicking my ass Rich! This push is just what I needed! After doing the “feels good feels bad-list” and ended up with the whole “feels bad column” encirceled, I started to realize why I always feel like something is missing in my life.. I will not accept living in score 49 any more!

  • Kate

I am at the precipice of my leap and this book speaks volumes to me.

  • WOW – 99 AMAZING COMMENTS!!! I love the reaction…POWERFUL!!! The book will be released Sep 1 … stay tuned for details on how to get a F R E E copy of it!! Thank you…

  • sue

I will use this info to monetize my passion about being online and being around the ocean somehow! As always, thanks for all you do Rich!!

  • Anjana

Can’t wait to read it :)

  • Tanya

    Hi Rich,

I read the chapter and intro twice yesterday. I got a lot out of it. I loved hearing your story about how you left your previous company, that really was great and reminds me that I did the right thing (I just gave notice to my company for similar reasons). I did the exercises and was surprised at how low my score is.

From what I have read so far, this is a great mix of story and substance. It was very entertaining and gave me hope, and hope for the people around me. I can’t wait to read more. Thank you Rich!

  • I have just read the first chapter of Rich’s new book and need more. I have found the support I have been looking for. I too have that pain in my body that Rich spoke about.

I knew it was telling me to get on with things, but I didn’t realize others were experiencing it too. Thanks Rich

  • The first chapter of your book was so candid and “wood for the trees” simple.

The tests are perfectly balanced and really well thought out from both a practical and personal point of view.

I’m looking forward to that 12 month goal and change in lifestyle.

    Thank you.

  • Jenni Mac

Thank you Rich for the awesome first chapter of your book – I found it to be a major reality check for me. I cannot wait for the book to be released.

  • Love so many things in this chapter. I just finished listening to your teleseminar with Lara Galloway, my own coach, following a coaching session with her this afternoon. So many ideas completely aligned with my own personal beliefs and where I want to be in life. The life assessment is a great “hit you over the head” tool to visualize the things in life that we know but pretend not to.
Completing the exercise made me realize that I had been on the path to living my life with passion but got thrown off track when marriage, family and the ideal of the stable future got thrown in to the mix. Thanks for reminding us all that those goals are not mutually exclusive and motivating more people to strive to be happy, balanced and successful.

  • Zmago

Thank you! From the first chapter I can see that this is really fantastic book. What you wrote I agree 100% with you! I have to admit that I’ve read it twice. Not because i would have problem to remember it, but because your story is in some way very similar to my, but unfortunately I’m still “fighting” with myself and my old beliefs. Can’t wait to get your book and read it completely.
Warm regards from green Slovenia in the center of Europe.

    Zmago

  • angela

I’d like to enter the contest and am curious to know if your book would answer my question which is: “How can you make money being a stay at home mom?” You see, that really is my passion, staying home and taking physical and emotional care of my kids MYSELF. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to manage doing that so far but my daughter’s father has decided to be a deadbeat so that certainly doesn’t help. When I think of what excites me in life, it’s devoting my life to my children. It’s not too profitable though.

  • Great Job so far.

  • Melinda

Hi Rich, about to change careers again, still a struggling artist trying to pay the bills. We both know I need this book!

  • Lana

I’m sure I too late for the drawing, but i did want to tell you how much I enjoyed the first chapter. Having participated in your free calls for a long time now, I have heard most of the material before- but it never gets old. I took the assessments and I’ve got some work to do, but I knew that.

I also enjoy your daily energize!

    Peace,

    Lana

  • Very interesting 1st chapter…. I have made many changes in my life since your ‘Art of attraction’ program and still looking for more encouragement…can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the book. Well done!

  • Amy

Is it September yet? I am making your book a “must” read for me. Is it normal to read a book and cry most of the time? I saw some parallels in my own life to your own story and so appreciate you sharing them.
I’m left a little speechless as I look back on my life and look at the times that I’ve took those leaps of faith like you said, I’ve was too at a place where I was truly sick of my life and made those changes that needed to be made. I left an abusive marriage, I quit the corporate job that made me fat, miserable, fatigued and sick. I found myself homeless trying to get life after divorce going. I’ve worked on me from the inside out. I got so fit that I can personal train people and help them with diet and exercise. The self work that you describe has been a intergal part of my daily lifestyle. The spiritual side, the emotional side, the physical side. These are some of the best areas of my life now. Through listening to your story, emails, blogs I have become more authentic and genuine. So much that other people recognize this quality very quickly about me.
But I have yet to monetize my passion yet. I know what I want. I want to be a life coach as well. I get stuck in the how, perhaps more paralized by fear, or lack of belief. This is truly the missing link the “hole in my soul” sort of speak.
I can’t wait to fill my bucket with the rest of your book. I know that it will be exactly the knowledge I’ve been searching for.
    Forever grateful,
    Amy

  • Wendy

Hmmm…..kind of scary to think of things so deep and to be so honest with yourself. Looking forward to doing it though and learning a lot.

  • This is a second comment because I felt the chapter was THAT good. I went back and read it a second time, and am tapping my foot, counting down until you release the darn book! :)

Love it and love your work! :)

    With Inspired Gratitude,
    Angie

  • Angie – make sure to look who the 5 winners are – I think it will put a big smile on your face :)

  • What and inspiring personal story you start with. I’ve been going through a similar experience. Why does it take a hard knock to get someone to get up the courage to act? Great exercises. Do you know of the “3-to-1″ positivity ratio as written about by Barbara Friedrickson in Positivity? Your scale of >8 matches up pretty well with latest research. I look forward to the book. Shaun

Dear Rich, Thanks for writing this book, and for making a portion of it available. I’m looking forward to the full book. There is a lot of food for thought here, and I think it will be something I keep coming back to again and again in the future.

  • Anne R

I enjoyed these first chapters and look forward to reading the whole book.

  • caren

It was good reading but i hate the part where we have to do quizes and tests in any book. I felt it was perhaps more of an autobiography with an insight. It was a good read and look forward to the full version coming out.

Thank you Rich for this wonderful exploration of our true self. A friend saw me most of my free time watching websites of interior decorations, and yoga excises. He asked me one question, what are you doing most of this time with this websites, and i replied, i love beautiful houses and i love yoga. the next day, he sent me this website and i can not believe what am reading. In fact i feel like quiting, yet am not ready and why?? Because i feel i dont have enough financial security but with your help, i will make it . Thank you!
